The invention of the telescope was quite groundbreaking in the history of mankind. Actually invented by the Dutch optician Hans Lipperhey in 1608, it was later called the Galilean telescope after the famous scientist Galileo Galilei, who developed it further. It had a lasting impact on seafaring, warfare and astronomy and is still an irreplaceable tool today.

With this wooden seafaring telescope kit, you can retrace this development with a little skill and build your own telescope. In addition to the pre-cut wooden parts, tools and instructions are included. The assembly works completely without glue, as the entire model is held together solely by wooden joints.

However, this is not the only special feature of this kit. After assembly, the telescope is not only decorative, but also fully functional with a viewing range of 150 m. As it can be very easily separated from its base and pushed together, it fits easily into a rucksack or bag and can be taken on excursions to observe nature. Fine details, such as the leather sheathing for better handling, the plaque attached to it and the fine branding, make the telescope look even more aesthetic and almost like a real antique.
