To be an active and participating citizen of the world wide web can sometimes be very exhausting. Numerous blogs are waiting for you to read and comment them. Additionally, you have to keep your twitter-account up to date all the time. Besides these obligations you only have little time left for your real life and this real life has to be presented in the social networks instantly - with photos of course!
Wouldn't it be nice, if an intelligent gadget took over some of these duties?
The Twitter Cam is this gadget!
The Twitter Cam is a high quality digital camera with an attached motion sensor, which can connect to the internet via WiFi. It can be used in the following way: You attach it on a wall of the room you want to monitor - for example the hall or the bathroom. Then you follow the instructions on the packaging: Sign on to the website of the producer LIRPA and the connection to the camera establishes automatically. After this, you only have to fill in the login data for your twitter account and a standard text, for example: "I'm in the bathroom now" or "I'm going to the kitchen". Now the Twitter Cam is ready to take a photo everytime its sensor detects a motion. This photo will then automatically be published with your text on twitter. Using the Twitter Cam, you never have to document the events in your flat for yourself again - this is done by the Twitter Cam for you! Instead, you can concentrate on your real life outdoors - when the time should come that you actually leave the house.
Now to the technical details: The camera has a resolution of 20 megapixels, a wide angle lense and an optical zoom factor of 40. Of course you can search for the best image section on your computer and save it in the camera. The motion sensor can also be programmed very flexible: For example, you can regulate the sensor range and set a time delay for the camera. This is important because you want the image to be taken wihle you're sitting on the toilet and not while you just come through the door. The Twitter Cam has a diameter of 14 cm and a depth of 10 cm.
