This clock displays the time with LED squares.
You have to know the system behind it to read the time.

You can bring some science-fiction atmosphere into your home with this clock: The Tix clock displays the time with LED squares in different colors. Only if you know the code behind the squares you are able to tell the time from it, but if you do, it's really easy to read the time.

The Tix clock works in the following way: Each group of squares represents one digit of the time. To get this digit, you only have to count the number of glowing squares (no glowing square means 0). On our pictures the time is 12:35, 12:38 and 12:36 on the animated picture.

To make the display even more interesting, the glowing pattern (but not the total number of glowing squares) changes more often than once a minute. You can change the frequency from one pattern change in a second to one every 4s or only one in a minute. The fastest frequency is of course the most interesting one because this makes the tix clock look like an abstract piece of art.

The clock measures 26*7.6*2.7cm and it needs about 3W electrical power. You can choose between 3 brightness levels and the clock displays the time in 12h mode. The front panel of the clock is made out of brushed aluminium and the clock is powered by a 230V power adaptor (included).
