”Your father's lightsaber. It's the weapon of a Jedi Knight. Not as clumsy or random as a blaster; an elegant weapon for a more civilized age.” Obi Wan Kenobi to Luke Skywalker (Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope).
Come on, admit it! You've always longed for a real lightsaber, haven’t you? Good news then: You’re not alone… and these come as close as possible to the original sabers used in the movies.
The Look
These Star Wars Lightsabers are an official product under license from Lucasfilm. They look exactly like the ones Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader use in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.
The Sound
When powered up, the blade 'extends' – meaning the light extends its glow fluently from the handle grip to the tip, just as 'real' sabers do, and is accompanied by that oh-so distinctive and fabulous sound. The same process happens when the saber is powered down – the opposite way round, of course.
Let’s talk about those sounds: When the lightsaber is activated, just like 'real' lightsabers the infamous, distinctive
wmmmmwmmmm sound thrums and echoes. When you swing the lightsaber, the original humming
vveeew veeew sound is produced (2 different kinds can be heard in random mode), and when you strike something, 3 different random
kkkssssshhhh clashing sound effects will burst out to signal impact. If you want to hear what these oh-so-cool lightsaber noises sound like, head over to YouTube or pop a Star Wars DVD into your player:
These replicas sound identical to those in the movies as they've been digitally recorded from original sources to create a very realistic feeling when holding what feels like more than a mere replica.
The lightsaber's blade is removable. While unscrewing, a typical lightsaber effect will also sound, as long as the batteries are inserted. To insert the batteries, you'll need a small screwdriver.
Standard Accessories
"Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid." We beg to differ, Han…
Included in this marvellous package:
- the Luke Skywalker Lightsaber OR the Darth Vader Lightsaber
- a clip to attach the saber to your belt
- an elegant display stand to store it in a stylish way when not in use. The display stand comes with a small compartment at the back, where you can store, for example, the clip.
Another Extra: The Wall-Holder
You might like to go for the
Wall Holder too! With this accessory, you can hang your Star Wars Lightsaber on your wall vertically, creating a real eye-catcher for yourself as well as for your guests! The Wall Holder consists of two pieces and is screwed tightly to your wall.
Possibilities and Limits of the Almost Real Star Wars Lightsabers
Please note: Although these lightsabers give a very realistic feeling with their stunning looks, feel and amazing special effects (which we know make it very tempting to simply go out and bash some Sith or Jedi, as you wish), they are not weapons in reality. These are collection pieces, and you should refrain from duelling with any Fates (either Jedi or Sith or whatever else) in order to avoid causing injury to foes or damage to the replicas. Remember, a Jedi uses his lightsaber only for defence… but that does mean you can swing it as much as you please as you practice your lightsaber technique – which is great fun, especially in the dark.
The Choice Is Yours!
Oh yes, it IS yours – which side of the force will YOU choose? Will you choose the right path with the

Darth Vader Lightsaber with the red blade"You don't know the power of the dark side!"
