This small item for your key ring can control many tellies: It has stored very many remote control codes and can try them one after another in order to find the matching code. After that, you can switch off the TV, change the channel or the volume and even switch to mute or change from aerial to video signal.
It takes up to 2 minutes for the device to adjust to a certain TV. The recognition works in the following way: After pressing a button, the Ninja Remote sends "mute"-codes for all known TVs. As soon as the TV you want to control switches to "mute", you have to react so that the Ninja Remote knows which TV model you want to control.
The recognition isn't perfect, there are some models on the european market that the Ninja Remote can't detect. Additionally, it happens sometimes that it's only possible to control some functions and not all. The
TV-B-Gone detects more TVs, but it's also more expensive and can only switch a TV on or off.
The Ninja Remote measures about 5,5x3x0,5cm and needs a CR2032 battery, which is included.
