The Electronic Butterfly is one of the most fascinating gadgets we have received over the last months, because it looks so real. This is due not only to the stylish jar and the detailed lifelike wings of the butterfly, but also and first of all to the fact that it moves!
The effect becomes overwhelming, when you realize that you can influence the butterfly's movements! If you tap on the lid once, the butterfly wakes up and flies around in the jar. Tapping twice makes it flutter in place and tapping three times makes it softly flap its wings.
Although you can control them, the movements don't look programmed or robotic, because, for example, it sits down in different positions.

The butterfly is held in position by a thin, nearly invisible wire that is connected to the electronics in the lid. It needs 3 AAA batteries that are already included.
The Electronic Butterfly is available in four types: orange Monarch, yellow Swallowtail, pink Morpho and blue Morpho.
