This was our April Fool's joke

Like all electrical equipment, a computer produces CO2 when switched on. So why not reduce the CO2 produced by your computer? You can use this new CO2 Ex for it:

The CO2 Ex is a novel CO2 separator, which operates from behind the main power supply of your computer. It separates the CO2 from the used air of your computer through a special chemical reaction. The CO2 is then bound and densified, so that only normal air comes out of your computer afterwards. This is the same principle as it is used in modern coal-burning power plants. You have to remove the densified CO2 after about 100h continuous use of the CO2 Ex, but that's really easy and you can use the CO2 to dung your plants (or give it to someone who has plants).

The CO2 Ex needs a 12V connection, but you can use the normal power supply of your PC for this. It needs about 20W (compared to about 200W of a modern PC this is really low). The CO2 Ex filter can filter for about 20,000h, which is more than 2 years (but unfortunately you can not replace the filter).
