The 36 Cube 3D-Puzzle gives you a task that even Euler, the famous mathematician, couldn't handle.
The rules are similar to Sudoku. The 36 blocks in 6 colours have to be arranged so that only one of each colour is placed in every row and column. This sounds easy, but the blocks also have 6 different sizes and they have to fit into a cube in the end, of course
The 36 Cube 3D-Puzzle is modelled on a problem that Euler was asked to solve for Catharine the Great: 36 officers from different regiments and of different ranks should appear only once in a dancing formation.
Euler decided that the problem couldn't be solved mathematically. Was he wrong? Will you find the solution? Although you may not solve it completely, you'll have fun trying.
